Does Minnesota have established standards for food service managers or dietary managers, that would meet the requirement in Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) State Operations Manual Appendix PP §483.60(a)(2)(ii)?

Minnesota Food Code rule 4626.0033 has requirements for a Certified Food Protection Manger (CFPM).

If a person completed the CFPM course and successfully passes the exam, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) would recognize the Minnesota Certified Food Manager administered through the Minnesota Department of Health Environmental Health Division as meeting the federal nursing home requirement at §483.60(a) (2) (ii).

MDH would also accept the two courses, Food Service Manager and Food Service Manager for Long Term Care offered through Pythia to meet the federal nursing home requirement at §483.60(a) (2) (ii). A person would need to complete both course and successfully pass the exams.
